Jam Sessions for kids
Our jam sessions are special. R&D’d for the past 6 years by director Robby Schechter, our jam sessions are what makes learning at Musical Life Denver faster, more authentic, and more FUN. All students have a chance to get a taste of making music together in these “mini-band” sessions that happen regularly.
Using a well curated list of songs (from the 70’s to the 2000s and later), we are able to get students of all instruments, ages, and skill levels to have fun making music together. Students begin working on these songs with their private teachers during their lessons, learning a skill appropriate version of the songs that allows even new students to join right away. As students continue their learning, they get to progress up between the levels until and see their skills grow right before their eyes.
Playing in these jams is what gives Musical Life Denver students that edge and motivation that keep them learning and practicing at home so they can continue to succeed. Finally, I know we said it before, but they are just a light hearted, silly, GOOD TIME!

With a catalog of over 200 songs of every genre and a monthly playlist, getting together in a group to jam in a band setting has never been easier. The structure and leadership provided by MLD’s expert staff will make every session fun and productive. No more guessing what to play, when to start, when to solo, how to use the amp, etc. These coached jam sessions provide all the knowledge you need to have a great time playing a wide range of music in a fun and supportive environment. No posturing and show offs – this is a place to meet other like minded musicians and HAVE FUN.
The best part about our adult jam sessions is you don’t even need to be a student to try them (however, private students get to attend 4 a month at no additional cost!) We have been proudly offering these classes to the public on meetup.com for the past 6 years. We have had literally 100’s of amature music lovers, just like yourself, through our doors who are now living a life filled with music. Whether it is regularly attending our jam sessions, trying one of our bands or taking private lessons, or meeting other folks and starting their own group or gaining the confidence to finally go to an open mic, our jam sessions are hands down the best way to get your own musical life going!
